Ann Arbor Master and Guest Bathroom Remodels

This Westside Ann Arbor home now features two freshly remodeled bathrooms. The master bath project comprised of a new custom built vanity with a matching mirror and medicine cabinet, a large tile shower with corner seat and a cubby for the laundry units. Down the hall, the guest bath was updated with many of the same features. A tile surround completes the bathtub/shower unit and chrome shower fixtures, faucets, and towel rings and bars pull the whole room together.

Ann Arbor Bonus Room Addition- Updated

Here’s an update of this bonus room addition. The floors of both the addition and the adjacent remodeled room have been re-framed, the walls are erected, and we are ready to construct the roofing system.

Ann Arbor Remodeled Bath

On this bathroom project, we were charged with making this bathroom a space the homeowners could grow old in. We removed a closet to an adjacent room, a bulky cast iron bathtub, the threshold at the doorway and a half wall next to the toilet. All this achieved the goal of opening up the space. The walls and counter top were done in a matte white tile which was accented with light green tiles on the floor and in the backsplash. Custom cabinets were installed for the vanity with a mirror and cupboard behind the door to match.

Ann Arbor Bonus Room Addition

Construction is underway at this Ann Arbor Farmhouse in Lodi Township. We will be replacing an inefficient solarium with a 17′ by 21′ bonus room addition. The homeowners intend to use the room mainly to host their children, but more importantly their grandchildren. Adjacent to the addition is another room that will be remodeled along with the addition. The floor of the existing room will be raised, new windows will be installed and the doorway to the addition will be moved. Stay tuned to see frequent updates of our progress.

Ann Arbor Finished Basement

A new gas fireplace insert played the starring role in this basement. An already finished area, we added the fireplace along with the Copper Rust tile surround. Above the fireplace is a Maple mantle with a Cherry finish. We also replaced the carpet and the ceiling tiles to freshen up the whole basement.

Ann Arbor Stairway and Hardwood Floor

Out with the old carpeted stairs, in with new oak treads and risers. This home now features beautiful, locally manufactured hardwood flooring up the stairs and throughout much of the second floor. Framing the flooring are matching handrails with expertly crafted newel posts. One of this project’s challenges was to convert the carpeted stringers along the stairs to oak trim without the walls becoming too thick and bulky. With this relatively small remodel, the homeowners were able to add an appealing aspect to their home without breaking the bank.

Ann Arbor Remodeled Full Bath

A remodeled bathroom in this Ann Arbor home near Greenhills. The vanity is made of locally built, custom cabinets with granite countertops, two undermount sinks and mirrors to match the cabinet finish. There are matching tiles throughout the floor, the tub deck and surround, and the shower with a glass tile accent strip. The shower features glass doors, a niche matching the glass tile accents and chrome fixtures.

Ann Arbor Sunroom Addition

This is a 16 ft by 12 ft addition to the back of an Ann Arbor home. The sunroom replaced an old, boring deck. The exterior of the addition is clad in James Hardie cement siding painted to match the existing, a new gabled roof line, and several Pella windows along with a new stamped concrete patio. Meanwhile, the interior features pine paneling, a peaked ceiling and a concrete floor. The space offers the homeowners a smooth transition from the indoors to the backyard and a peaceful space to enjoy the outdoors.
